Birdrock Laboratories is conscientious of the expanding cost of medical care. We believe that negotiating “in-network” status with insurance carriers is critical in today’s ever-changing healthcare environment. We believe in transparency and bill at reasonable, market-value rates, alleviating high patient bills. We have developed a patient financial support application for those that cannot afford the growing costs of healthcare. We strive to be as patient-friendly as possible and will work with any patient on a case by case basis to achieve a positive resolution. Birdrock laboratories’ billing policy
Most insurance providers require Birdrock Laboratories to bill patients for any applicable deductible, co‐insurance and co‐payment amounts, as reflected on explanations of benefits (“EOBs”) in an amount are determined by the insurer. When Birdrock Laboratories is not contracted with an insurance plan, we will typically bill patients for the amount designated by their plan as the patient’s responsibility.
Services performed for Workers’ Compensation patients will be billed directly to Workers’ Compensation Plans at our standard rate. There is generally no patient responsibility in these circumstances.
Birdrock Laboratories complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and all applicable state privacy regulations.
